Seven bailed after man hurt in Oxford 'baseball bat' attack

Seven people arrested after a man was seriously hurt in an assault in Oxford have been released on bail.

Police believe the man in his 20s may have been attacked with a baseball bat at about 23:40 BST on Saturday.

The victim is in a serious but stable condition in hospital after suffering injuries to his upper body in the attack in Dunnock Way, Blackbird Leys.

Three 18-year-old men, three 19-year-old men and a 52-year-old woman arrested at the scene have been bailed.

The three 19-year-old men and an 18-year-old man are due to answer bail on 21 September.

The woman and two 18-year-old men have been bailed until 23 September.

All seven people arrested are from Oxford.
