Didcot warehouse to create 3,000 jobs

Thousands of jobs could be created in Oxfordshire under plans to build a new distribution centre.

Developers have submitted initial proposals for a warehouse on land close to Didcot power station.

If approved, the centre off Sutton Courtenay Lane, is expected to operate 24-hours-a day, seven-days-a-week, and create up to 3,000 posts.

The storage space and offices would include parking for 300 HGVs and almost 700 car parking spaces.
