M40 southbound at Banbury reopens after truck fire
A section of motorway closed after a truck carrying hay bales caught fire has reopened.
The M40 was shut southbound at junction 11 for Banbury after the blaze started at 15:00 BST on Thursday, blowing thick smoke across the road.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service, which sent four crews, said the truck was carrying 30 tonnes of hay.
Shortly before 23:30 BST on Thursday, the Highways Agency tweeted that the road had reopened
No injuries were reported.
