Man's legs broken in Oxford ring road crash

A man has suffered serious injuries in a crash on Oxford's ring road.

A double-decker bus and a van collided on the A40 Northern Bypass eastbound, shortly after 03:30 BST.

A 30-year-old Lithuanian man became trapped in the wreckage of the van and had to be cut free by firefighters, a spokesman for the service said.

He was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford for treatment after suffering two broken legs in the accident.
