CCTV of park attack witnesses sought by Thames Valley Police

CCTV images of people who may have witnessed a man being beaten to death in a park have been released by police.

Martins Rudzitis, 43, died on 3 August from head injuries three weeks after an assault in People's Park.

Thames Valley Police said there were several possible witnesses to the attack on 11 July at 21:00 BST.

A post-mortem examination concluded the victim died from head injuries and police said that it has been a "complex investigation".

Det Sgt Ali Driver said: "We have released CCTV images of people who were in the park at the time who we would like to speak to in connection with this assault.

"It may be that they have vital information which could help with this investigation.

"I would urge anyone who saw or spoke to Mr Rudzitis in the weeks before his death to get in touch."

A 20-year-old man and a 19-year-old man, both from Banbury, have been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the incident and have been released on bail until 25 September.
