Woman, 20, killed in A4074 collision

A 20-year-old woman has been killed in a two-car collision in Oxfordshire.

Police attended the A4074 Reading Road at 08:06 GMT following a collision between a Nissan Micra and a Land Rover Discovery.

The Nissan was driving south towards Reading and the Land Rover had been travelling in the opposite direction before the crash, police said.

The driver of the Nissan was taken to the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford but died shortly after.

The two occupants of the Land Rover, a mother and her teenage son, were taken to the Royal Berkshire hospital where they are being treated for minor injuries.

The road was closed for several hours while police investigated and was reopened at 13:00.
