Faringdon baby murder suspect charged

A man has been charged with the murder of a baby boy who died after suffering head injuries in Oxfordshire.

Jordon Saxton, 21, is accused of fatally injuring the 11-week old at a property in Faringdon.

The baby died in hospital after being found in the early hours of 17 November, last year.

Mr Saxton, of Wingate Close, Oxford, has been remanded in custody and is due before Banbury Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.

The baby was initially taken to the Great Western Hospital, before he was transferred to Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. He died the following evening.

A post-mortem examination indicated he had died as a result of injuries to his head.
