'Elephant man' knifeman robs Eynsham store

An armed robber wearing a knitted green elephant mask with a pink trunk has stolen money from a wine merchants.

The man, who was caught on CCTV, threatened a shop assistant with a knife and demanded money from Eynsham Cellars in Mill Street, Eynsham.

He stole cash before fleeing on a bicycle in the direction of John Lopes Road on Saturday night.

The victim was unharmed. The robber is white, 6ft 2ins and of medium or slim build.

He was also wearing a thick black coat, skiing gloves, grey jogging bottoms and white hi-top trainers with red stripes.
