A teenager who was stabbed on an Oxford street could take a year to recover from his injuries, police have said.

The 18-year-old, who was attacked on James Street, just off Cowley Road, has now been discharged from hospital.

Four men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and bailed.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to the attack which happened at about 14:45 BST on 9 May to come forward.

Last week, police made an appeal for a man seen on James Street who is described as white, tall and with dark coloured hair.

They also want to trace the driver of a white van who was travelling along James Street and made a turn into Hurst Street, and the driver of a white hatchback, which was also seen on James Street.
