Man dies in two-car crash near Wallingford

One man has died and another is in hospital with serious injuries after a road crash.

Thames Valley Police said a VW Golf travelling south crashed into trees alongside the A4074 near Wallingford at about 22:30 BST.

A Ford Focus following behind struck the debris and collided with the Golf.

The unnamed driver of the Golf, a 36-year-old man from Oxfordshire, died as a result of his injuries.

A 25-year-old male passenger was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford with serious injuries.

The male driver of the Ford Focus was also taken to hospital suffering from minor injuries.

Police have appealed for witnesses.
