Shropshire man remanded on wounding charges

A 35-year-old Shropshire man has pleaded not guilty to wounding two police officers.

Darren Davies, of The Crescent, Bomere Heath, appeared before Shrewsbury Magistrates' Court and was bailed.

He is due to reappear on 29 June for committal proceedings to Shrewsbury Crown Court.

Mrs Kate Price, for the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), alleged that one of the officers was bitten by a dog.
