Telford and Wrekin transport on demand service ends

An on-demand minibus service in some villages in the Telford and Wrekin area of Shropshire has ended as part of council cuts.

The Twister service was costing Telford and Wrekin Council about £19 per person per trip in subsidy and it was "really not sustainable", the authority said.

Passengers in some outlying villages booked and were then picked up from an agreed point.

But the council said it had really only had 12 regular users in the last year.
