Young woman pushing baby robbed in Bridgnorth

A young woman who was pushing her baby in a pushchair has been robbed in Shropshire.

Two men ran off with more than £300 and bank cards in the incident involving the 21-year-old mother in Racecourse Drive, Bridgnorth.

She was approached from behind and an object was pressed into her back. She was threatened and ordered to hand over her wallet and any other valuables.

The woman, who was walking home, and her child were not injured.

But the mother was badly shaken, police said.

One man was described as about 5ft 9in tall, of slim to medium build and with short, shaved brown or blond hair.

He was wearing what appeared to be grey jogging bottoms and a dark hooded top.

His accomplice was wearing a light-coloured fleece top.
