Driver suffers burns in Rhosygadfa car fire

A motorist in his 70s suffered serious burns when his car caught fire in Shropshire.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Rhosygadfa after the incident happened, just after 1215 BST on Sunday.

The man suffered about 60% burns to his chest and legs in the fire, between Gobowen and St Martin's.

An air ambulance from Wales took him to the burns unit of Birmingham's Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.
