RAF Cosford station commander's funeral held

The funeral of the station commander of RAF Cosford has taken place.

Air Cmdr Christopher Green was the commandant of the Defence College of Aeronautical Engineering (DCAE) as well as being in charge of the air base.

The 52-year-old died during the night of 16 May at his home, where he lived with his long-term partner, Jane.

His funeral took place on Thursday at the Royal Air Force College, in Cranwell, and was followed by a private family cremation.

RAF Cosford chaplains The Reverend John Ellis and The Reverend David Norfield led the service.

Mr Green's partner and his parents, Ron and Eileen, said in a statement: "We would like to thank you all for your love, kindness and comfort after our sad loss, and in the times to come."
