Weapons stolen in Telford garage burglary

Around £3,000 of weaponry used for sport and described by police as "extremely dangerous" have been stolen in Telford.

The break-in happened at an address in Leegomery some time between 18 June and Sunday.

Police said an "array of weapons" along with an amount of fishing tackle and other accessories were stolen.

Items include a Mathews Compound Apex 7 bow and a .22 air rifle in a leather case.

A spokeswoman for West Mercia Police said: "It is vital that these weapons are found and reported to police.

"They could prove extremely dangerous in the wrong hands.

"If you have been offered such items for sale, or know where they might be, we would urge you to come forward."
