Burglar takes £3,000 from Frankwell Buck's Head pub office

More than £3,000 has been stolen from a pub in Shropshire.

The burglar is thought to have snuck into the back office of the Buck's Head in Frankwell via an unlocked rear door at about 1030 BST on Monday.

While the office was unattended he stole a red cloth bag and a light blue ice-cream tub, both containing cash.

West Mercia Police said it wanted to speak to a man with dark brown, collar-length, wavy hair and a fringe who was seen waiting at the rear of the pub.

Officers said the man was in his late 20s or early 30s, of slim build and was wearing a light-coloured T-shirt and jeans.

Anyone with information or who knows the man described above has been asked to contact West Mercia Police or to call Crimestoppers anonymously.
