Fourth man charged over Loppington robbery

A fourth man has been charged over a robbery in which a 76-year-old man was attacked in his Shropshire home.

The resident was taken to hospital with head and facial injuries after the incident in Loppington on 21 June.

A 21-year-old man has been charged with possession of criminal property under the Proceeds of Crime Act and bailed to appear in court on a date to be fixed.

Three males, aged 17, 18 and 19, have appeared in court charged with robbery in connection with the incident.

A fifth man, a 22-year-old arrested on Monday on suspicion of assisting an offender, is on police bail pending further inquiries.
