Arrest made over Oswestry man Charles Green's death

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering an 87-year-old Shropshire man.

Charles Green, of Ambleside Road, Oswestry, received hip, arm and head injuries when he was attacked by two men who broke into his home on 2 May.

He died in the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital on 2 June.

A 25-year-old man was arrested on Thursday and was being questioned. One man has been previously charged in connection with the death.

That man, who is also 25, faces charges relating to trespassing and subjecting someone to violence and has been remanded in custody until July.

Another man, 23, has been released on bail.
