Man stabbed in Oswestry street attack

A man has been stabbed in the back in a Shropshire street.

The man, believed to be aged 40, was attacked near a telephone kiosk in Liverpool Road near to Oswestry town centre on Friday.

Up to four men were involved in the incident at about 1415 BST, West Mercia Police said.

The man was taken to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, but his injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
