Car crashes into Bridgnorth town centre shop

A man has been taken to hospital after being cut free from a car that hit a shop front in Shropshire.

Emergency services were called to Whitburn Street, in Bridgnorth, at just before midnight on Tuesday.

Fire crews sent appliances from Bridgnorth, Much Wenlock and Wellington to the scene.

A spokesman for the fire service said they used cutting equipment to remove the car's door and free the man before he was taken to hospital by ambulance.
