Man dies after collision while out running in Telford

A 35-year-old man has died a week after being involved in an accident while out running with his dog.

It happened in Hill Road in Donnington, Telford, Shropshire at about 0620 BST on Monday, 11 July when the man was hit by a white transit van.

He was taken to the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford with serious head injuries.

He was transferred to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire where he died on Tuesday.

The man has not yet been named.

Pc Garry Moody is appealing for witnesses to the collision.

"We would like to hear from anybody who saw the man out running with his dog from the direction of The Humbers towards Kinnersley.

"We also want to hear from anybody who saw the white Transit van, which was travelling in the same direction as the man out running, either prior to the collision or saw the collision itself," he said.
