Motorcyclist hits fence and hedge on A4169

A motorcyclist has been badly injured after colliding with a car and going through a wooden fence into a hedge.

Ambulance crews were called to the A4169 at The Hem, near Shifnal, at about 16:00 BST on Sunday.

The 34-year-old from Telford has broken both legs and suffered a suspected broken pelvis. No-one in the car was hurt.

An ambulance spokesman said he was "lucky to be alive". His bike was found some distance from the crash scene.
