Motorcyclist dies after collision near Bridgnorth

A motorcyclist who was critically injured in a road accident near Bridgnorth on Tuesday has died.

The 52-year-old man was airlifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham after the collision at Ditton Priors.

Police are investigating the incident, which happened outside the village hall in Station Road.

The 350cc green and black BSA motorcycle and the green Jeep Cherokee were travelling in opposite directions. Police have appealed for witnesses.

The South Shropshire Coroner, Anthony Sibcy, has been informed and a post mortem examination and inquest will be held in due course.
