Shropshire crash: Three injured when car overturns

Three people were injured when a car overturned in a crash involving another vehicle in Shropshire.

Paramedics were called to the A458, in Wattlesborough, near Shrewsbury, at about 20:40 BST on Thursday.

Four ambulances, a rapid response vehicle and an incident support officer were sent to the scene.

The injured people included two 17-year-old girls who were both taken to hospital with head injuries. One girl also had a hip injury.

Treated on scene

The girls were passengers in the car which overturned.

The driver of the car, a man in his 20s, was treated at the scene for a minor head injury and a suspected fractured arm.

He was also taken to hospital.

An ambulance service spokeswoman said: "Two people from the second car, a man and woman both in their 20s, were treated on scene for minor injuries but did not require any further hospital treatment."
