Driver dies in 'heart attack' crash in south Shropshire

The driver of a car has died after his vehicle crashed into a hedge in south Shropshire.

The accident happened shortly before 09:30 BST on the B4385 between Brockton and Lydbury North.

The West Midlands Ambulance Service said the man was on his own in the car and had suffered a heart attack.

Ambulance crews and a doctor who arrived by helicopter tried to resuscitate him, but he was confirmed dead at the scene.

A spokeswoman for the ambulance service said: "Sadly despite their best efforts nothing could be done to save the man."

According to the ambulance service no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
