A Telford secondary school that was forced to close after thieves stole copper from part of the roof has reopened.

Burton Borough School in Newport had to shut for the day on Monday because of the scale of the damage.

The school was able to open again on Tuesday but a statement on its website said it was not able to provide hot meals.

It was advising children to bring in packed lunches.
