Two arrests after pregnant woman robbed at Telford home

Two boys have been arrested after an offender with a knife stole gold bangles thought to be worth more than £2,000 from a pregnant woman at home.

An unknown male forced his way into the 29-year-old victim's house on Crescent Road, Hadley, Telford, Shropshire.

He used washing up liquid to ease the bangles off the woman's wrists in the robbery on 14 October.

Two boys aged 16 and 15 were arrested on Thursday morning on suspicion of aggravated burglary.

The woman, who was six months pregnant, was confronted with someone wearing a hooded top and a face mask, when she answered a knock at the front door.

He pushed his way past the victim into her house and demanded the gold bangles she had on her wrists during the robbery, which happened at about 19:15 BST.
