Shropshire homes and jobs sites in spotlight
People are invited to discuss potential sites for 27,000 new Shropshire homes.
The proposals, which focus on the next 14 years, include 6,500 homes being built in Shrewsbury, 2,500 in Oswestry and 9,000 in rural areas.
The plans can be viewed and discussed at Festival Drayton, Market Drayton, on Wednesday evening and at The Guildhall, Shrewsbury, on Thursday evening.
Shropshire Council has begun a public consultation over the plans, which include potential employment sites.
The council says the county needs thousands of new homes and development land to create jobs.
Parish and town councils and communities have already indicated whether they would like their area to have more housing, and landowners have suggested sites they wish to be considered for development.
Further meetings will be held around the county during the consultation which lasts until 8 June.
More details are available on the council's website.
