Pedestrian killed in Quatford collision named

A pedestrian who was killed in a collision near Bridgnorth on Saturday has been named by police as 24-year-old Russell Nicholls.

West Mercia Police said Mr Nicholls, from Quatford, died after he was hit on the A442 in the village at about 05:30 BST.

Police want to hear from anyone who saw a beige Volkswagen Bora heading towards Bridgnorth before the collision.

Post-mortem tests have been carried out and an inquest will be held.
