Telford Pink Skips closes after failure to find buyer

Twenty people have lost their jobs at a Telford recycling company after administrators failed to find a buyer.

It comes on top of 37 job cuts made in February when receivers were first called into Ketley-based Wellings Ltd, which trades as Pink Skips.

Administrator Grant Thornton was hoping to find a buyer, but said those interested had now pulled out.

An auction of the company's assets, including refuse lorries and tractors, is due to take place on Tuesday.

Grant Thornton said it was also in discussions with the landlord over the sale of the firm's Rock Road site.
