Robert Barlow Shrewsbury death 'left hole in our lives'

The family of a man who died in a Shrewsbury street have said his death has "left a big hole in our lives".

Robert Barlow, 64, was found in Reabrook Avenue, near to the Old Potts Way retail park, on Saturday evening.

A 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and a 37-year-old woman is being questioned on suspicion of assisting an offender.

In a statement his family said Mr Barlow was a "quiet, gentle man with many eclectic interests".

The statement said: "We are devastated by the tragic loss of a much loved husband and father. His death has left a big hole in our lives."

Work is still ongoing to establish the cause of Mr Barlow's death, police said.

He was found with serious injuries just after 22:50 BST on Saturday and died at the scene.
