Hadley centre £900,000 regeneration project begins

Regeneration work costing £900,000 has begun in part of Telford.

Gladstone House in Hadley is being demolished, and a new pedestrian link built to the flyover, along with three new retail units. The High Street will also be repaved.

The work is jointly funded by Telford and Wrekin Council and the Homes and Communities Agency.

The first phase of the work, building a new supermarket and retail units costing £2.3m, was completed in May.

The latest work is expected to be finished by June, the council said.
