Man dies in Telford embankment crash

A man has died after a car crashed down an embankment in Telford.

It happened at Great Hay Drive, in the Sutton Hill area, at about 21:00 GMT on Saturday.

The man in his 20s was taken to hospital in Staffordshire with head injuries, but police said he died in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Another man in the car managed to free himself and was treated for back pain before being taken to hospital, West Midlands Ambulance Service said.

Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
