Oswestry man shot in head with pellet gun

A man has been "seriously injured" after being shot in the head with a pellet gun in Shropshire.

The 25-year-old man received treatment from paramedics outside his home in Bailey Street, Oswestry, in the early hours of Friday morning.

He was taken to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital where his condition was described as "stable".

West Mercia Police said it was trying to establish the circumstances that led to the injury.
