Police seek man over Telford street stabbing

Police investigating a street stabbing in Telford have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to.

A 32-year-old man was stabbed in the chest in Woollam Road on 14 April at 23:45 BST.

The man in CCTV photographs went to the Whitehouse Hotel in Wellington, Telford just after midnight, said police.

Shaquil Sheamus Sultan and Mohammed Kabir Zaman, both from Telford, have been charged with attempted murder and remanded into custody.

Mr Sultan, 19 from Manor Road and Mr Zaman, 27, from Victoria Avenue, have also been charged with possession of an offensive weapon.

Another man, aged 32 and a boy aged 16, were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and bailed.

The victim has been treated in hospital and is expected to make a full recovery, said West Mercia Police.
