Two scouts from Bath have presented a special badge to Amy Williams, the city's Winter Olympic gold medallist.

Scouts from across the UK voted for Williams in the "sports enthusiast" section of an online poll, for public figures who have encouraged others to learn new skills.

The organisation's 103rd Birthday Honours list also recognised naturalist Sir David Attenborough.

Williams said she would display the badge alongside her gold medal.

Having won the skeleton event in Vancouver earlier this year, Williams became the first individual British gold medallist at the Winter Olympics for 30 years.

Josh Forster and Ethan Rose, both 13, from 28th Bathampton Scout Group, presented her with the award.

Badges were also awarded to entertainer and marathon runner Eddie Izzard and television presenter Julia Bradbury.
