Stone works blaze shuts main road in Glastonbury

One of the main roads out of Glastonbury had to be closed for several hours on Friday as fire crew battled a blaze at a stone works.

Smoke was reported at Tor Stone at Edgarley, just before 1500 GMT.

Three fire crews were needed to fight the blaze and the nearby A361 was shut due to the risks posed by gas canisters on the site.

Firefighters say the blaze, which injured no-one, was caused when a bonfire went out of control.
