Somerset Heroes' Awards: get your nominations in

Following on from the success of the Pride of Somerset Youth Awards, BBC Somerset is now on the hunt for the county's heroes.

Held in conjunction with the county council and several local newspapers, the Somerset Heroes' Awards looks to celebrate people of all ages.

BBC Somerset editor Jess Rudkin said: "You did us proud for the Pride of Somerset Youth Awards, now we want you to do it again for Somerset Heroes of all ages."

Nominations are open to people of all ages who may have overcome adversity, an illness, or perhaps have given something back to their community.

The awards are held in conjunction with the county council, Somerset County Gazette, Chard and Ilminster News, Burnham and Highbridge Weekly News, Yeovil Express and the Bridgwater Mercury.
