River Somer's water quality to be improved

Work is set to be carried out to improve the water quality of a river in Somerset.

Silt will be removed and rocks and boulders are to be planted on the River Somer in Midsomer Norton.

Bath and North East Somerset Council said the work was expected to take six weeks, starting from 11 April.

Parking along parts of the High Street will be suspended for the duration of the works to allow access to the channel for lorries and machinery.
