Weston General lifts restrictions after vomiting bug

Restrictions on visiting times at Weston-super-Mare's Weston General Hospital have been lifted following an outbreak of a vomiting virus.

The hospital had restricted numbers and times on all wards, after the outbreak of Norovirus in April.

There was also restricted access on four wards where patients showed signs of being infected.

A statement from the hospital said it was now free of the virus: "All wards are fully open and operating normally."
