Marine biologist rescued from Brean Down incoming tide

A marine biologist has been rescued after becoming cut off by the incoming tide in Somerset.

The scientist, from America, was photographing sea anemones at Brean Down on Sunday but twisted her ankle on the way back to the footpath.

Not knowing the UK emergency number, she dialled 911 instead and was put through to the police.

Burnham-On-Sea coastguard sent a cliff climber down to the rocks to rescue her.
