Somerset man wins £1m from Premium Bonds

A Somerset man, who doesn't want to be named, has won £1m in the July draw of the Premium Bonds.

The man, who owns £10,000 of premium bonds, bought the winning bond in January 2007.

In Somerset, there are more than 200,000 bond holdings worth more than £537m. There are over 4,500 prizes worth £245,000 which remain unclaimed.

The oldest of the outstanding prizes was drawn in March 1971, and so far these winners have not been traced.
