Somerset gets new radio station

A new radio station for Bridgwater and West Somerset is to be launched at the weekend.

Celador Radio confirmed it had acquired the radio broadcasting licence for the area from More FM Limited.

A Celador spokeswoman said the Total Star station would be replaced by The Breeze.

The new station, which will be produced from the company's South West Broadcast Centre in Bristol, will air from 12:00 BST on Sunday.

Last month, Total Star had its licence cut by a year by media regulator Ofcom for illegally boosting its transmitter levels.
