Antique taps worth £50,000 stolen from Beckington

A private collection of antique taps worth about £50,000 have been stolen from a property in Somerset.

Police said the taps were taken from the property in Stubbs Lane, Beckington, some time between Saturday and Sunday.

The taps date back to the Victorian and Edwardian eras. Police warned the thieves may try to sell them.

Anyone with information about the taps is urged to contact Avon and Somerset police.

A spokesman said it is not yet known how many sets of taps have been taken.
