Merseyside man bailed again over 'fake bomb detectors'

A Merseyside man who was arrested as part of an investigation into bomb detectors that allegedly do not work has has his bail extended by police.

In January 2010 Jim McCormick, 54, of ATSC Ltd, based at Sparkford in Somerset, was arrested on suspicion of fraud by misrepresentation.

A BBC investigation alleged that millions of pounds worth of detectors sold to Iraq were ineffective.

Mr McCormick is due to answer bail in November, police said.
