Somerset woman killed in car crash named as Alice Hicks

A 27-year-old woman who died in a two-car collision on a road in Somerset has been named by police.

Alice Hicks, from Weston-super-Mare, was in a car which lost control at the junction of the A38 Bristol Road and Biddisham Lane, Axbridge, on Saturday afternoon.

Ms Hicks was taken by air ambulance to Frenchay Hospital, near Bristol, following the crash but died later.

Police have appealed for witnesses to contact them.
