A 40-year-old woman has been charged with murder following the death of a 58-year-old man at a caravan park in North Somerset.

Police were called to Sand Bay caravan park at Kewstoke, near Weston-super-Mare, at about 00:30 GMT on Saturday.

Philip Gibbs, who was badly injured, was taken to hospital where he later died.

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said the woman was charged with Mr Gibbs' murder, late on Sunday night.

"The woman, who was arrested in the early hours of Saturday, is due to appear in court at a later date," he added.
