Flowers laid by M5 to remember Tony and Pamela Adams

The Somerset family of a couple who were killed in the M5 crash last month have returned to the scene of the accident to lay Christmas flowers.

Tonia White, from Taunton, said the death of her parents had created an "empty void".

Tony and Pamela Adams, from Newport, south Wales, were among seven people killed in the accident, near Taunton, on 4 November.

Police are still investigating the circumstances of the accident.

Mrs White said: "I would have been on the phone to my mum today [Christmas Eve] and tomorrow and we would have gone to church with them.

"I just hope for everyone else involved that the next year is much better for them."

Her husband, Philip, said the family was trying to stay strong.

"But at this time of the year it's very very difficult," he added.
