Wembdon second stage housing inquiry resumes

A public inquiry into plans to build up to 450 homes near a Somerset village has resumed.

The plans for Wembdon were previously refused by Sedgemoor District Council on the grounds they were not part of its five-year plan for housing growth.

Developer Cavanna Homes refused to comment about the public inquiry or its plans for the land at Cokerhurst Farm.

The first stage of the inquiry began in January and ran for four days. The second stage will run for two days.
